Ace Contracting, Inc. specializes in custom residential building and remodeling. This family-owned business has been operated by Geoff, John, Jim and Judi Pitts since 1976. Their projects have been published in "House Beautiful", "Architecture", "Country Home" and "The New American House", among many other journals and books. Part of a two year long project was just featured in the Winter 2008 issue of "Washington Spaces."

We have been buying our materials from Better Living since the beginning--since their store was on Avon Street and the Ace vehicle was a Pinto station wagon. BL was a vital partner and friend to us through the lean times of our learning years and to this day we rely on them for advice, competitive pricing, information about new or unusual products, for almost all of the materials that go into our projects and as partners in our charitable endeavors with Building Goodness, Habitat for Humanity, Love, Inc., PACEM, etc. Thanks to Rob Fleming, the Nunley family and everyone else at Better Living.
